LOOKING AHEAD
We restart on Mon 7th Sept. New members welcome. No rehearsal Mon 26th Oct (school closed for half-term). Extra rehearsal on Thurs 3rd Dec with the concert on Sat 5th Dec at Tewkesbury Abbey 7.30pm. Music: Schubert Mass in G, Vivaldi Magnificat, Geoffrey Bush Christmas Cantata & two short pieces, Winter’s Night & Three Eastern Kings by Peter Teague.
Music will be available to hire at £2 per composer.
Subs will be £52 for the Autumn term payable in September and £57 for Spring payable in January, or £104 up front for the year payable in September. Payment by bank transfer is preferred:

Choir Tour to Ghent Mon 28th July – Sat 3rd July 2027
A party of 51 are currently signed up for the tour and have rooms reserved for them at Ibis Gent Centrum Opera Hotel in Ghent. Travel will be by coach for a maximum of 53. More details will follow in due course. Any further enquiries should be made to tewkesburychoral@gmail.com

These websites provide free files which help you hear and learn your voice part. Ask around; someone in the choir will probably know if our current work is on one of these.
Cyberbass MIDI files play direct from the website for Windows and Android. Will apparently only work on new Mac and all iPad and iPhones if you first download an app; do a search on ‘Play MIDI files on iphone’
learnchoralmusic.co.uk MIDI files – download first then ‘play with’ Windows Media player etc. Iphone and iPad users will need to download an app first as above.
john fletcher music Free registration needed. Has the best search facility and plays mp3 files for (most) machines, and they’re a bit easier to listen to. Can also download MIDI files to listen to at leisure.
Choralia.net Choralia provides free training aids for choral singers. Audio files are provided, which allow singers to gradually learn their parts by listening to electronically-synthesized sound.

The Society updated its Rules for Members in March 2022 and its Data Protection and Retention policy in November 2025.
It is a registered charity, and our Constitution is public information.
